How much should my baby sleep?

The baby’s sleep pattern changes a lot during the first months of life, which may cause concern among parents. How to know whether sleep my baby is normal or otherwise, sleeping excessively or suffering from lack of sleep?

In My Baby Sano us very clearly indicate the number of times the baby should sleep a day, the average time of waking hours and the average time to do the little sleep:

In the neonate:
Number of times during the day: 4
Average hours of awake time periods: 1 hours
Average time to make it sleep: 15 min.

1 to 3 months:
Number of times during the day: 3 to 4
Average hours of awake time periods: 1 to 3 hours
It is expected that the baby wakes up at night to breastfeed.

3 to 6 months:
Number of times during the day: 2 to 3
Average hours of awake time periods: 2 to 3 hours
Average sleep time to do it: 1 hours
Sleep for 2 to 3 hours at a time and 6 to 8 hours at night.

6 to 9 months:
Number of times during the day: 2
Average hours of awake time periods: 2 to 3 hours
Average sleep time to do it: 1 hours
Sleep for 1 to 2 hours at a time and 10 to 12 hours at night.

9 to 12 months:
Number of times during the day: 1 2
Average time periods between waking hours: 4 hours
Average sleep time to do it: 1 hours
Sleep an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon and 10 to 12 hours at night.
